French Lops
Our main aim is to get them up to Show Standard. Here we will tell the Story .What we have achieved so far. The most important thing to us is to increase the size & type. We have created carriers that we are happy with.

Here at Tor View ,we intend to Breed Quality, Chocolate French Lops. It is a slow process. We where told by a friend of ours, to build the House 1st & then paint it. & that is what we are hoping to do.
The begining
Dam, Rosie Malone Sire Rossendales Freddie
Bred by Tina Lluka Bred here at Tor View
Now retired Now living down south
On the 28th September 2007 Rosie Malone gave birth to a litter of 8. When I checked the litter, there where Opals, Agoutis, & a couple of colours I wasn't familiar with. As time went by I decided one was a Sooty Fawn,& the other looked very Chocolaty still I doubted it was. A good friend of mine Lyn came to collect some Rabbits, I showed her the Kit & she confirmed it was indeed a Chocolate. I was stunned !! When he was a little older & I had established he was a Buck, I took some pics of him & sent them to Phil Batey for his opinion. He said, his type & colour looked good.but he was a little on the small side.
Rossendales Galaxy Aged 6 wks.

9 Months Old

Galaxy has done what we wanted him to. He has sired us some fantastic carriers. His job now done he has now been nutered, He will stay here with us has a much loved Pet.
Next Step Forward
On Phils Advice we started a search for a Good Sized Black Doe, preferably Bred from Blacks. We found exactly what we where looking for. Mona Cawdron had one.We collected her Spring 2008.
Beauty

Beauty has now gone to live in pastures New
While we was waiting for Beauty & Galaxy to mature. We remated Rosie Malone & Rossendales Freddie, & got another suprise. a Cinnamon. Another Buck, again Good type & Colour, & larger than Galaxy.Born 4th April 2008. Rosie Malone as now been retired from Breeding. she is a very happy House Rabbit & totally spoiled.
Rossendales Caramac

Caramac Feb 2009
Caramac has now gone to live with our Good friend
Kirstie @ Looking Glass Lops.
June 2008.
We decided to Mate Galaxy to our own huge Blue Doe, Anatzia .
We had 2 reasons for doing this mating.1st to add more Genes into the line,& 2nd & most important to help increase the size.
The litter was born 4th July 2008
Out of this litter we have kept our Beautiful Rossendales Annabelle. she is a large Black Self Doe & we are hoping she will keep Type & size in our Breeding
Rossendales Annabelle Approx 10weeks old
July 2008
We mated Beauty to Rossendales Galaxy
This was what we had been waiting for, some good sized carriers & we are not disappointed
Litter Born 3rd Aug 2008
Out of ths litter we have, Rossendales Antiga & Rossendales Jacob. At present they are 5 months old & coming along a treat.
Rossendales Antiga Aged 10 weeks

Rossendales Jacob Aged 5 months

Jacob now lives at Stars Stud in the North East
Rossendales Roland
Parents Monica & Rossendales Galaxy
Monica has produced us some fantastic show stock, including Carrys,Melody, Minataur, Brads Lad, so we thought it would be a good idea to mate her to Galaxy, to add her genes in to the Chocolates. Roland is who we decided to keep. He has all ready proved his worth on the show circuit doing very well shown U/5.
Roland is developing into a nice big typey Buck
March 2009 saw the arrival of our Beautiful Imported Chocalate Buck. He was hand chosen & transported by our good friend Phil.x
